Miyuki Drop beads are an extraordinary dewdrop shaped bead with a hole at the narrow tip of the bead. The rounded bottom end catches light and creates a glowing effect at any angle. The small drop beads are used to add fine detail in fringe, bead weaving and stringing. They are often used as surface embellishment in bead embroidery. Drop beads are also frequently included in more complex designs using spiral stitch and picot lace techniques. Drop beads can be the focal or connecting point in a netting stitch, as well as in the finished ends of an earring. Available in sizes 2.8mm and 3.4mm.
Miyuki Long Drop beads are a more elongated version of a traditional drop bead. Resembling a top-drilled grain of rice, they can be used in place of larger dagger or smaller drops. Available in the size 3 x 5.5mm.
