Old Masters, New Creations: Learn What Inspired Our October 2026 LITE Collection

There is a reason the great still life painters of the Dutch Golden Age are still studied, their work still reproduced, and still stopped at in museums centuries after they were painted. These artists understood something essential about beauty: that it doesn't need to be grand or dramatic to be profound. A pomegranate, a bunch of grapes, a glass of wine—rendered with enough skill and attention, these become something more than simply what they look to be. The Still Life Collection LITE is our mid-October 2026 LITE Collection, and it is a direct homage to that tradition.

The palette is rich and perfectly reflects the atmosphere of the painting: pomegranate red, grape purple and violet, set against a warm backdrop of copper, bronze and brass tones that give everything a vintage, almost candlelit quality. It's classical and refined, and it pairs with the Love Letter Collection—our main Collection of October 2026—in the most beautiful way while standing completely on its own.

When you look at Still Life With Fruit by Jacob van Walscapelle, you can admire the mastery of light and color, but you can also notice the dynamic tension of the scene. Someone was just here; they snacked on a single grape they plucked off the bunch; they poured themselves wine into the elegant glass with the richly decorated stem; they freed some of the hazelnuts from their husks; they opened the pomegranate, revealing its jewel-like seeds and likely anticipating the sweetness of its juice… But then they left, leaving the feast unfinished, the delights uneaten, and us, three hundred years later, wondering what could have happened."

Seed Beads

The seed bead section starts off with a generous 20g custom Miyuki round seed bead mix covering all the sizes you need to dive straight into multiple projects; alongside it, a bag of Miyuki Drop Beads and a tube of TOHO Treasures round out the section with two very different shapes that open up a wide range of beading possibilities.

Czech Glass

Four Czech glass products cover both color and scale beautifully here: two sizes of round druk beads in contrasting tones, a strand of 6mm FirePolish in a deep, moody plum, and a tube of Ginkgo Leaf beads in a matte, earthy grey with a Rembrandt finish that feels completely at home in a palette inspired by Old Masters painting.

Crystals

Ten Krakovski Crystal stones across several different colors and cuts make this an exceptionally rich crystal section for a LITE Collection; the six 8mm chatons span Amethyst, Tanzanite, and Lt. Siam—the full arc of the palette in stone form—while two oval stones and two teardrop stones bring shape variety and focal-piece possibilities. The new Krakovski Crystal pearl color, Pale Antique Brass, sits somewhere between bronze and gold and is one of the prettiest and on-theme pearl colors we've included in any Collection. The PRECIOSA 72-piece bicone mix reflects the fruit colors of the inspiration painting directly.

Gemstones

Two natural fluorite gemstone products are included in this Collection, bringing an organic, grounding quality to the palette that no glass or crystal could replicate; each cube is unique, and the mix of fluorite and amethyst in the larger size adds delicate, natural variation in color that feels completely in keeping with the painterly spirit of this Collection.

Findings

The findings are mostly essential and practical—two lobster claw clasps, two pairs of leverback ear wires, and a pack of jump rings, all in a warm antique copper finish that ties the whole palette together; but the standout is undoubtedly the TierraCast Thistle button, a beautifully detailed piece that could serve as a clasp, a focal element, or simply a decorative accent depending on what you make.
