Introducing Foundational Palette Collections: Beautiful Basics Without a Limit

We have been working on something a little different, and this Monday it's finally arrived. Meet Eureka’s Foundational Palette Collections—a brand new format from Eureka Crystal Beads, launching with two first editions: the Cool Tones Foundational Palette Collection and the Warm Tones Foundational Palette Collection.

Here's the short version of what makes them different: they're designed to be regularly restocked, and they're built around a palette rather than a theme. No premiere date to miss, no "sold out and gone forever", but rather our signature well-curated, cohesive set of high-quality beading supplies in a color family or style you love, ready when you are.

What's Actually Inside

Each Foundational Palette Collection sits between our LITE and regular Collections in size, coming to around 25 products, and contains all the basics you need to get started on a wide range of beading projects: Japanese seed beads in multiple sizes and shapes, Czech glass beads, crystal stones and beads, and findings, all chosen to work together and to represent the palette as fully and usefully as possible. Every product in a Foundational Collection was chosen with restockability in mind, so what you get in your first box will be the same—or very close to it—every time. Occasionally a product might appear in a slightly different shade between iterations, should anything get discontinued, but the product type will always be consistent.

The price falls between our LITE and regular Collections, too, and for as long as possible, we're keeping Foundational Collections under $50, because we want them to be a genuine bargain as well as a genuinely useful product.

Built for Everyone—Including Complete Beginners

Our regular and LITE Collections are designed for all skill levels, but Foundational Palette Collections take that one step further. Because they focus on palette rather than theme, and because the products included cover all the essential bead types and sizes, they are a natural starting point for anyone who is new to beading and doesn't yet know what to buy. Pick the color family that speaks to you, and you'll have a solid, versatile foundation to learn from and create with straight away, with multiple free projects already existing using the exact products you get.

They're also great for more experienced beaders who want to expand their stash in a focused, intentional way, and for anyone who likes the idea of collecting all palettes and making the same projects in each—or mixing and matching between the two. Swapping the 11/0 seed beads or the crystal rondelles between the Cool Tones and Warm Tones Collections, for example, opens up a whole new set of color combinations without any extra effort.

More Foundational Collections are in the works. For now, we're starting with Cool and Warm, and we think that's a pretty good place to begin.

Foundational Palette Collections: Your Questions Answered

What exactly is a Foundational Palette Collection?
It's a curated set of around 25 beading supplies—seed beads, Czech glass, crystals, findings, and more—built around a broad color palette rather than a specific theme like our standard Collections are. Think of it as a well-stocked creative toolkit in the color family of your choice.

How is it different from a regular Eureka Collection or a LITE?
Regular Collections and LITEs are themed, limited, and launch on set dates—once they're gone, they're usually gone. Foundational Collections are palette-based, there’s a good chance they’re in stock at any given time, and are regularly restocked with the same products. They're also sized and priced between the two: bigger than a LITE, just a tad smaller than a regular Collection, and priced under $50.

What's actually in the envelope when it arrives?
Just like our regular Collections, each Foundational Palette Collection ships with a printed inspiration photo to set the mood and palette, a printed product list with every item numbered and labeled so you can identify each bead and look up more of anything you love, and an evocative note on the reverse to get your creative imagination going. Plus, of course, all the beads and findings themselves, all packed neatly in a baggie.

I've never heard of Eureka Crystal Beads. What kind of products are we talking about—are these good quality?
Eureka Crystal Beads is a US-based online bead store specializing in premium beading supplies. Every product in a Foundational Palette Collection is carefully chosen for quality—you'll find Japanese seed beads from a well-known brand TOHO, glass beads from the Czech Republic, renowned for the region’s hundreds-of-years-long glassmaking tradition, high-quality crystal stones and beads, predominantly from Eureka’s trademarked in-house brand Krakovski Crystal, and quality findings made in Greece out of allergy-safe, top-quality materials. Nothing in a Foundational Collection is filler.

Will it always be exactly the same products every time I order?
Yes, when it comes to the types of products, and almost yes when it comes to the exact colors. Every product in a Foundational Palette Collection was chosen with long-term availability in mind. Very occasionally, a product might appear in a slightly different shade between restocks—but never a different product type. You'll always get the same quantities, categories and the same variety.

Are Foundational Palette Collections good for beginners?
They're probably our most beginner-friendly product yet. Because they cover all the essential bead types in all the basic sizes, you don't need to know much about beading to get started—just pick the palette you love and you're set. And because they're always available, there's no pressure to buy before they sell out.

Are there any tutorials available using products from the Foundational Palette Collections?
Yes! Eureka's free tutorials are a great companion to any Foundational Collection, and because the products included are consistent, you can even follow the same tutorial every time you restock or get a new Foundational Collection palette. Custom Foundational Collection projects will be added as well, but here are some of our existing projects you can make with each Foundational Collection:

Can I mix the Foundational Palette Collections together?
Yes, and we'd actually encourage it! The palettes are designed with mix-and-matchability in mind. Swapping seed beads, rondelles, crystals or Czech beads between the Foundational Collections is a simple way to create new color combinations and get even more mileage out of these bead kits!

Will there be more Foundational Palette Collections in the future?
Yes! Cool Tones and Warm Tones are just the beginning. We have more palettes in the works and will be adding to the Foundational Collections range over time.

Do I need to subscribe to get them?
No—like all Eureka Crystal Beads Collections, Foundational Palette Collections are available to buy whenever you want them (and in whatever quantity!), with no subscription or commitment required.

I already own a lot of beads. Is a Foundational Palette Collection still worth it for me?
The beaders on our team, who curated the Foundational Collections, say: YES! And here's why… First, the value: at around $50 for around 25 full-sized products, a Foundational Collection costs significantly less than buying the same supplies individually. Even if you already have some of what's inside, this price makes it a genuinely hard deal to pass up. Second, cohesion: even experienced beaders with full stashes don't always have everything in a single palette that works together seamlessly—and that's exactly what a Foundational Collection gives you. Third, if you pick up a second palette to complement one you already own, the mixing and matching possibilities between the two multiply your creative options considerably without requiring a big investment. And finally, because these are always restocked, you can come back for more whenever you run low; no scrambling before a sellout, no waiting for a restock announcement. That kind of reliable, affordable, cohesive supply is actually a pretty rare thing, both for experienced beaders who know exactly what they want to do, and for beginners, who are looking for a quality basic bead set to start with.

The Cool Tones and Warm Tones Foundational Palette Collections are available in our store starting Monday, 7/20. We hope they become a staple in your creative toolkit—and we can't wait to see what you make with them.
